Quick return visit to Mayfair. I’d like to say that it was because the light was so perfect, I could go and re-shoot the L1853 Mayfair pix. However, I would be lying. I had to return to Mayfair to take my camera back to the shop as, sadly, it broke yesterday. Unsadly, it’s not actually broken. There was, shall we say, a slight human error problem. I’m too embarrassed to say any more on the subject. I shall therefore change topic and moan about the cold instead, which severely curtailed my photographic exploits. Today’s pic is the oyster bar – empty, because I suspect anyone with an ounce of common-sense was tucking into hot pie and soup somewhere, not chilled sea food. I’ve just downloaded the DxO Filmpack trial version and have tried it on this using a preset called “Poetic” I think (I played around with so many that I’ve forgotten which one I went for in the end). The purists will no doubt squeal “cheat” and call for the stocks to be brought out, but hey, it’s my pic and it suits my current ‘post photography’ phase;-)
