The highlight of the day was dinner with the wonderful, amazing Giles Duley. A fantastic evening! My pic of the day should have been of Giles, but I wasn’t quick enough off the mark and the old M9 sometimes isn’t always that good in ultra-low-light. Instead, therefore, my choice is an earlier one from the day, but still on the theme of modern conflict.
An amusing little find on the Charing Cross Road, and not actually signed by God, Jesus or any of the prophets. This is a new work, “Holy Bible”, by Deutsche Boerse winners Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin. Inspired by Brecht’s annotated bible, they have illustrated their Bible with images of modern conflict and signed a few copies – none of which were available to buy.
