I have a funny relationship with sculpture – I don’t get a lot of it, I don’t like quite a lot of it, but every now and again I see one that I absolutely adore. And The Helmsman by Andrew Wallace is probably one of my favourites. It’s a bit of a stretch for “moulage” (‘A Cast or impression, esp. of a person or a part of the body; the process of making a cast or taking an impression; the material used for this’, OED) but there might have been a brush with the moulage system somewhere along the way – maybe a trial run with plaster?
Day #103 of a 365 project, where the daily pic is informed by theĀ OED word of the day.
