A “virtuecrat” is ‘A person who is convinced of his or her moral superiority; (also) a politician or other public figure who seeks to promote morality’ (OED). Well any excuse to shoot a coffee cup abandoned on railings and although not a person, I think there’s a certain smugness and a whiff of superiority complex that exudes from certain coffee shop chains, which justifies representation of today’s word.
