I had my camera poised ready to snap the disgruntled souls at the bus-stop. Having waited more than the advertised 12 minutes, the bus came and wouldn’t let anyone on because the driver said it was his last stop. As he slammed the door (well automatically swished them together) and zoomed off in a cloud of dust, I thought the natives would turn nasty, thus providing the perfect photo opp for “frampler”, which is ‘A rowdy, quarrelsome person’, (OED). Disappointingly, there was no rioting or fighting or unpleasantness, just a resigned collective sigh and a resumption of texting and tweeting – probably regaling the tale of the maverick bus driver to 3,000 non-friends.
Day #169 of a 365 project, where the daily pic is informed by theĀ OED word of the day.
