230814 On the qui vive for chickens

A double Bleeding London day and I thought I’d taken a security camera for today’s word, which is “qui vive” (‘on (also upon) the qui vive: on the alert; on the lookout’, OED). Downloading and closer inspection reveals a rather odd-looking light, and unbelievably, of all the pix I took today in SW5 and SE5, there isn’t one of a security camera. But old Foxy Loxy certainly looks as though he’s on the qui vive for something – probably chickens.

Day #232 of a 365 project, where the daily pic is informed by the OED word of the day.
