060914 A Gentleman’s Punctilio

Today was a Bleeding London street pounding day – E11, E18 and then more E11. In E18 Station Approach, we assume that the holding of the pink handbag was a punctilio (‘A minute detail of action or conduct; a nicety of behaviour, ceremony, or honour; a small or petty formality. Also: a hair-splitting or fastidious objection; a scruple’, OED) in the ‘nicety of behaviour’ sense. There were plenty of punctilios to be found on various planning permission notices in the postcode of green fingers and skips, but they weren’t nearly as much fun as the pink bag.

Day #245 of a 365 project, where the daily pic is informed by theĀ OED word of the day.
