Penny and I had a wonderful lunch to celebrate her Associateship. It would have been most impolite whilst feasting and imbibing to enquire as to whether there was a “quondam” (‘The former holder of an office or position; (Oxford Univ.) a former Fellow of All Souls College. Also derogatory: a person who has been deposed or ejected., OED) in the house. But we reckon those former All Souls Fellows did a bit of wining and dining, so chocolate and Tokaji seemed most appropriate for today’s word.
Day #256 of a 365 project, where the daily pic is informed by theĀ OED word of the day.
