I’m very grateful that our morning “reveille” (‘A signal indicating that it is time to wake or get up; spec. a signal used to awaken personnel in the armed forces, typically sounded on the bugle or drums. Also: the time at which this signal is given; the time for waking or rising from bed. Esp. in early use, freq. to beat the reveille’) is a simple, gentle buzz with a snooze facility. I’m not sure I could cope with buglers and drummers before I’ve had coffee.
