The fridge is looking a bit bare, so I suppose figuratively, it could be considered to be “gracile”, meaning: ‘Slender, thin, lean. Also fig.’, (OED). And if you want a gracile figure, then a diet of beer is not the way to go about it. I don’t even know why we have any beer in the fridge, since neither of us drink it and I don’t even remember buying it for visitors – note to self, check sell-by date.
