291214 Scission

“Scission” means: ‘Division of a previously united body of people into mutually opposing parties; a split, a schism’, (OED). Today’s pic is representative rather than completely accurate. Today’s adventure was a wonderful birthday present of a wine-cellar tour followed by a tasting at award-winning vintner Spaetrot in Gumpoldskirchen. This is one of the cellars and the middle bit is part of Poland – a mini Polish Embassy, as it were, complete with some very old wine. So somewhere along the line, I wonder if there was a scission involved. I should have made further enquiries, but the tasting was beckoning!

Day #363 of a 365 project, where the daily pic is informed by theĀ OED word of the day.
