“Odoriferous” means ‘Originally: that bears or diffuses a pleasant scent; sweet-smelling; fragrant. In later use: that has or emits a (pleasant or unpleasant) odour; strong-smelling; odorous’, (OED). This was odoriferous in the original sense (or scents) of the word in the shop, but unpleasantly odoriferous in the modern sense when I opened the packet. Hmmm – think I brought the wrong one.
Day #17 of the second 365 project, where the daily pic is informed by theĀ OED word of the day.
