What a fabulous word! “Mizzle-shinned” means: ‘Having one’s legs red and blotched from sitting too near a fire’, (OED). I was not prepared to burn myself just to get my snap of the day, so I just had to take the first pseudo-mizzle-shinned person that I saw. I wonder if ‘mizzle-furred’ can be used for dog and cat fur, which always singes when they hog the fire.
Day #47 of the second 365 project, where the daily pic is informed by theĀ OED word of the day.
