“Balloonacy” is such a great word, but with the meaning of: ‘Mania for ballooning; balloon madness’, (OED), I’m not sure how often it will surface in my daily discourse as I hate balloons. I don’t like them when they burst, I don’t like the feel of them and the idea of hot-air ballooning fills me with terror. But I do like the word, so I might try and find a way of using it figuratively … Anyway, today’s pic doesn’t really have any balloons, per se, in it, but from a suitable distance, these lampshades looked like balloons.
