120415 Mazeppa

And another toughie … whoever is setting the word of the day this year is challenging my lateral thinking. Today’s word is “Mazeppa”, which means ‘A person likened in some way to Mazeppa, esp. in being the unwilling rider of a wild horse.’ (OED). Well, transport is measured in horse-power … this pic was taken on the train and I can’t understand why the lone passenger on the platform didn’t embark – maybe he is an unwilling rider of wild modern horsepower? We’re on our way back from seeing Arena – great night and what a coincidence that their Austrian leg of the tour coincided with our stay!

Day #102 of the second 365 project, where the daily pic is informed by the OED word of the day.
