190415 Busby

A “busby’ is: ‘A kind of large bushy wig. Also (more fully): busby wig. Cf. buzz-wig at buzz n.3 1. Now rare.’, (OED).  Now I’m not for one moment suggesting that our revered President is wearing a wig, but he introduced the DVJ War Symposium, where I was a speaker, so the pic is relevant to the day.  And it’s sort of relevant to the word of the day, since we think of a busby as being one of those fluffy black hats that soldiers where and without soldiers, there’d be no war.

Day #109 of the second 365 project, where the daily pic is informed by the OED word of the day.
