Looking for inspiration to record the ongoing demolition/remolition site that is London (I woke up one morning to find the local school had just disappeared), I’ve been browsing through my urban collection and I had forgotten what a marvellous book 10 Baustellen is. Each of ten artists depicts a construction site and the results are wonderful. Not for them a hoarding with a patchwork of ‘keep out’ and health & safety signs. This is a visual feast of individual styles, all held together by the main theme. I shall never look at scaffolding in the same light again …
