Otto is proving a real hit at Paris opera. The big question is whether he’s going to come home to Vienna? He might fall in love and decide to stay, which would actually ruin my plot and render the first 15,000 words of the novel useless. So *spoiler alert* he decides to return to the Staatsoper. But before he does, he plays a role in Carmen – I’m being a bit loose about this because he’s been a bass up until now, but I might change him back to a tenor. Oh the joys of choice!
