An utterly charming collection of tableaux vivants, showing how important staging has been in photography from its inception, which surprised me. Loosely chronologically arranged, it begins with a plate from John Plumbe Jr from (c.1842) and moves through the decades concluding with an Arbus-esque image from Loretta Lux. My personal favourite? Morimura.
